The key to happiness finally revealed!
13/10/2017How to create a joyful life? One step at a time.
23/12/2017What’s joy and how do we find it amidst the inevitable grayness of our working days screaming of routine and everyday burdens?
JOY
~ Is it the giggly, light feeling of floating? Is it happiness, the fuzzy warmth around our hearts? Is it all positive feelings and perceptions?
~ Or is it oneness with the universe while all doubt, sadness and anger disappear?
~ Is it the freedom that you feel during running, the ecstasy you perceive when in love, the sight of a toddler taking its first steps, the success of a presentation at work? Is it joy looking at a beautiful flower, or letting a song flow into your soul?
~ Or is it not the responsibility that you hold every second of your life to decide which way you go? Is it not the ownership of your power of holding the wheel and steering it in a certain direction? Is it not your capacity of receiving all things that come your way with an open or a closed heart?
This, and much more, is all true, as joy is manifesting itself in so many ways in our wonderful lives holding infinite gems of happiness every day. I am now talking about the aspect of responsibility of how do we consciously notice and create joy to be the default in our lives. That perhaps neglected feeling that we are all responsible, strong individuals in full awareness of our emotional resources, and our limitless capacity of making decisions every day. Good, life affirming decisions that are a source of joy simply by the possibility of being able to making them! The tingling warmth in all the cells of my body created by my own empowerment that I have over my life. The truth of my choices not always pointing to the happily-ever-after ending, yet the knowing of my own power while holding the steering wheel.
I have the power to choose between flow and resistance. Between creation and destruction. Between acceptance and anger. Connection or isolation. The next forward pointing step and the good old boring story. Responsibility or the well-rehearsed role of a victim. Courage or running away. The flow of my own path or the tiny road fenced by my fears.
Whose path are you following? And how do you say YES to life and to JOY in every second of your journey?
